Value of a 340

This is quite the dellima isn't it? My car is an original 340 and it's due for a rebuild. My buddy is trying to talk me into a 360 but I just can't seem to put it into my original 340 car, even though it's not factory correct in all areas. For me I guess it has to be a 340.
