electrical guys! i need help bad!

no they shouldn't be wired that different. i thought most of the 70's cars had the same wiring and plugs on the turn signals and even on the ign switch.. but maybe the plugs changed over certain years... i'm not sure.

what year car are you working on? what year column is it? have any pictures of the plugs??

car is a 71,but the dude i got the column from said my switch is a 70,only year like it. so really my column is a 70. even though the switch is held in different i wouldn't think the wiring would be that different. none of the gauge wiring should have anything to do with it either i wouldn't think. it HAS to be in the column i think. i mean you turn the key on,and i don't have headlights,dash lights,wipers,nothing. the only think that works is the volt gauge.
