Just can't get throttle pressure rod adjusted...

It's a balancing act. Loosen the slider bar at the trans. and only move it enough to allow full throttle pressure on the trans. but not so much that it won't allow the carb to be opened all the way. You can also adjust the bar near the carb to help balance it out.
