fuel problem with a 1972 dodge dart

thanks for the link. when my dad got the car from his work in 02 he decarbond the engine. is it posible that i need to decarbon it? i dont drive to school i dont have my permit just yet but its been driven a good amount every month. what would some of the signs of the vac. advance failing? the past owner said it sat for around 7 years. i usally dont warm it up too long when i drive it somewhere usally i give it 3 to 5 mins then kick it down and go. all the driving around town is speed limit but how can my mom and dads car get better with the same engines? ill have to check all those parts you metion and get back to you on those.
