8 3/4 wheel cylinders

Thanks for all the advice guys, I too want to install new ones due to how old the existing ones are. If I use the new ones with the 1/4 in bolts, has anyone ever tried to drill and tap the holes to match the 5/16 in bolts? is it even adviseable?
