318 internal or external

I am buying a 1984 318 and is it internal or external balanced?
Got the motor today very complete for $300 pulled valve cover
looked clean - turns over - good compression
figured out all 318's are internal balanced - it has an A999 tranny
that will be up for sale what's it worth
