carb/intake question

Hell, if its really a 73 340 intake and thermoquad, and the carb isn't trashed, buy it and I'll pay for shipping and trade you for something better and aluminum.

Ports are going to be bigger on that intake than on your 318, so you'll get a mismatch. It will bolt up though.

Thermoquad isn't the best choice for a driver if you're not familiar with them, but the price is right.
