69 Butterscotch Swinger at B-J

Not quite sure what you are trying to say here...but code "999" means special order paint color, it could basically be any color the buyer wanted it to be, it was extra cost. Further more, in the chip color charts Dodge and Plymouth offered three colors as "special order" which were Orange, Rallye Green and Bahama Yellow (Butterscotch), that's right, even Dodge called it "Bahama Yellow" in '69.
In 1970, Dodge offered the color and Plymouth didn't on the paint chart. Not to say you could not get it.

In '71 they both offered the color as "L5" color code. Bahama Yellow for Plymouth cars and Butterscotch for Dodge.

Sorry if it sounds like a rant, but "My Mopar" has a history of not quite right references.

Great info there, I actually like calling the color bahama yellow. Butterscotch sounds too girlie :yawinkle:

I read an older post earlier on paint codes and it seems finding out the number produced in a certain color isnt possible.
