Batten W2 Alloy Heads

I have rectangular port Diamond heads on my 410. I'm the guy Tony was talking about. With a 284/.528 Solid purple shaft, The car was a pig at Top Gun in Fallon, NV (4000'). I changed to a hydraulic with 232 int and 237 ex, .520 lift, tight 103 lobe centers and a dual plane. I have not run it yet, but my butt tell me that I leaves harder with 3.23's that it did before with 4.30's. At last years Hot August Nites, I talked to Herb McCandles who help Chrysler develop the W2 heads and he said that when they developed small blocks for Pro Stock in the 70's, rec port heads would not work on automatics. Too much volume and very little velosity. Take it for what it's worth!
