Hi from Quebec,Canada

My name is Richard, 28yrs old and I'm about to buy a neat ''survivor'' 1974 Scamp wth a 318.

car background

my first car was a '91 BMW 318(4cyl std) then that car frame broke in half as it was previously crash and badly repair. After that I bougth a '89 BMW 325 (6cyl auto) Met my GF who had a '91 civic SI, then received from my brother inlaw a '96 Sunfire then sold the BMW not long after.

Last summer my GF wanted a small SUV to replace the 19yrs old Civic. After much reading I couldn't setle on one I like so i sugested to my GF to try a 2005 Dodge Magnum RT (with the 5.7 hemi) We instantly fall in love with that car. Made my first trip to the drag in the Magnum, ran a respectable 14.56 on 1/4 mile then got hook on big engine car.

I wanted to modify the magnum to add some more power but it is pretty costly and not ideal since it is our DD car.

So after talking with a friend I worked with who had owned every muscle car, well MOPAR, you could dream off when he was younger, hes 52 yrs old now, I've decided to try and buy my first MOPAR. I went and look at a few Duster, really love that car silhouette, but each time they had nice motor, paint and badly repaired frame.

Since I wasn't satisfied the man I worked with suggested to buy one of his own car. He needed to make room since hes getting his '69 Dart body back from the paint shop soon and ready to drop a 440 4spd in it, can't wait to see that car. Anyway, I'll be grabbing his '74 Scamp wich is in an amazing condition for an almost 40yrs old car up here in Canada,Quebec. I must admit that at first I wouldn't have probably thought about a Scamp but I've been reading/thinking about it for the last 3weeks and I'm REALLY happy to have choose that car.

I'm already thinking about buying my friend 360, stroke it to 408, tubbed the rear and ....:finga:

Will be posting picture soon. Only problem so far....the color. I'm still not digging it, weird copper color with a white vinyl top. Oh well! can't alway get what you want when you pay so little.

So again, sorry the long post. Awesome forum with lot of knowledge to leech from O:)
