Im stumped, It's missing and ticking.

Back in the day when I was a "Goodwrench" mechanic I had an HEI go south because of the hall effect switch under the weight assy getting oil soaked and the magnets basically dissolved causing an intermittant problem. Dunno if this applies to your issue or not but a bunch of guys had looked at this vehicle and not found it's illness.
