what kind of oil for new rebuild
OK people, I was able to get some pertinent info on ZDDP content from one oil company, Vavloline. I tried to get the same info from for the Delo400 and Rotella branded oils from thier websites with no luck. One more reason to buy from Valvoline. Anyway, here you all go:
This is VR-1:

This is the "Not Street Legal Racing Oil":

Here's their standard "All Weather Oil":

Note the zinc content in each, which is notated in percent by weight. The racing oils are .120-.130% and the "All Weather" standard stuff runs .080%.
This is food for thought and I wonder what percent by weight the ZDDP content of oil ten years ago was? OK, fire away!
