1960-1962 Valiant/Lancer thread

I finally got to speak with the seller and look inside the car. VIN is 1316214XXX so the car is definiely a *late* 61. Really surprises me. I was expecting 100543 or some such thing.
Doesn't really matter, especially since the seller is hung up on $4k. I really like the car but have been down this road before. Only 50k miles but I *know* what it will take to go through the brake and fuel systems, get tires, etc. I'll keep trying but if somebody driving by wants to part with $4k -- oh well...
