Need an "affordable" family car - recommendations?

My vote would go for a used Mercedes Benz.

Any Mercedes with a 6 or V8 between 8 -10 years old would be a good choice.

These well made cars are usually well taken care of by their former owners, offer excellent protection, good handling / ride quality and decent MPG.

We have bought two such cars. A 300E (my son's) and a SL500.


Just my opinion.
