Hedman Headers Long tube

The drivers side header bottoming out is a plague on most A-body headers. The only 2 street headers I know of that don't hang down like that are TTI's and Doug's but of course your looking at $600 for Doug's and at least $625 for TTI's. I have Hooker super comps on mine which are designed like your Hedmann's. I don't have a big problem with them bottoming out but I have 15 inch tires and wheels. It'll still bottom out on rural roads that have a pronounced crown in the middle. After 3 yrs. of driving it I pretty much keep a constant lookout for crowns in the road so I can avoid them. Like Dartboy said you just need to raise the car up. Just gotta look around and see what you can find in a 15" wheel and tire combo (or tall 14's) to get it raised up.
