I just bought a 62 valiant 2 door 170 3spd. :) Very rough but complete. When I get it home I will be needing to fix rear quarters behind back tires (rust), all 4 corners (dents), all upholstery (mice), floor (rust), etc.. I have a very tight budget but am not in a big hurry, and the car is to be a daily driver (not show quality, just decent ). I'll appreciate any hints you might give me. Eventually I want to fix this up to see what the best mpg I can get is. My brother has a MAF fuel injection system from a buick 2.8 v 6 I can get from him. I have an HEI ign system I can put in it, so I have some ideas already. Thanks all!:homework:
 
Parts aren't going to be easy to come by. The aftermarket is pretty much non-existant for a '62 Valiant, although Legendary might have some of the interior stuff. You'll have to scour the junkyards. They are one of the best looking Mopars ever made, though, so good luck.
 
Sounds way too cool! You got any pics? You can always post in the wanted section, people here are always willing to help
 
Congrats.... I certainly know what you are feeling, I just took delivery of my 63 dart. I've looked for this car for almost 3 yrs and finaly found one that I could afford. Have fun and post up some pics soon.
 
Anxious to see some pics. Get a wishlist together and post it as folks on here can help you round up some of the needed parts. I know a place that has some Lancers and Valiants but I only get there about once a year. But, if I know to look for something specific I'll do so when I finally get there. Good score!
