On the '66 and earlier radio delete cars they didn't even cut a hole in the fender for the antenna. If you can find a sink hole plug that fits, that would probably hold up the best seeing as they are stainless. Those later model cars had too small an antenna hole to use their plug (if you can even find one) to fill the earlier antenna hole. Before my race car was painted, the hole was just filled in.
