Here is a great example of Edelbrocks Quality Control. This intake was not cheap at all either.............

I need to clearance it for the Distributor. The manifold is off lining up to the bolt holes in the heads by about 3/8 to 1/2". It is an easy fix but I really should not need to do this. There is also a need to notch at the runners about 1/4" so the valve covers will sit all the way flat on the gaskets. I notched in this area before on a few other builds. I use to take it off on the valve covers but I think on this one it will look cleaner if I notch just a wee bit on the top of the intake.


Right here where you see the pry bar hitting the manifold is how much it is off by. The pry bar is dead center of the threads in the heads.
