Discouraged
I know how you feel my friend. My hours were cut at work, our house needs major work and the moneys tight.Ive had my 72 Duster since 2008,and Ive only done one thing at a time.I dont have a garage or anyone to help me either and last summer,by myself I had the most terrible of a time swapping the motor in it and trying to manuever the cherry picker on gravel in 90+ degree heat and getting eaten by mosquitos, and it was very frustrating not to have help doing it.This year,im in the same dilema,no garage, just had to do the bodywork outside stripping the paint with a stripping machine(buffer)sanding and blocking by hand,my little compressor cant power large air tools, and a black & decker DA electric sander, and right now as I type, after 3 days of rain,im pretty sure surface rust is forming on it under the tarp which i know it will sand off easily but still frustrating as hell.I still have to fix a tiny rust hole on the floor, how im going to do this without a welder,I have no clue,I'll figure something out.I wish many nights I had a shop or a garage so I couldve done the bodywork better, and sometimes im a little envious when I see the members here that have really nice shops/garages ,they are very lucky but oh well, I have to use what I have.So yeah, its very frustrating, but please dont give up!!It takes alot of hard work to get it accomplished.Find something cheap you can do to it for now until you have the funds and energy to do the bigger things. This is why I didnt completely dismantle my Duster.I was afraid if I did,It would never get done,so its a rolling project, not by any means a complete resto. After paint, ill move on to finding bigger gears and disk brakes and suspension, after that,it will be interior,al the while, ill still be able to enjoy the car instead of it rotting
