The E F G doesn't really work on paint codes... 1970 B5 was EB5 which has an E or 1969... go figure.

My point exactly . "EB5" was used in '69 and '70 ; in 1971 it became "GB5" when it was reformulated ; then again in '74 as "KB5" ; and finally in '76 as "MB5" .

Then there were one-year-only colours like "GY3" ( Curious Yellow / Citron Yella ) .
