How do I go about removing the front and rear chrome window trim on my 68 Barracuda notchback?? Is there a special tool required?? Getting ready to install a vinyl top soon. Also I am trying to avoid any damage to the paint as I don't plan on painting the car for a few years.

Thanks

Yes, you need a special tool. Can be found at most auto parts stores. One or the other of these would work.

That trim is stainless and very expensive for straight pieces . Be very careful . No repops of them .
I took mine off using some tools from Harbor freight . Cheap tools .......... The one shown would do a better job.
Its also a good time to check for rust under the lower sections of trim and replace the rubber seals if they are old and cracking.
