71 Demon for sale
I hate to sell it, but the wife says it has to go...
71 Demon, about 75,000 miles on the 225/904/7.25. It was a cheapie model with only a black rubber side moulding and hub caps.. She still has original paint (Butterscotch) and sheet metal. There are dings, dents, and scratches but the paint still shines. It has been my daily driver whenever needed.
Interior has been changed to 71 Duster bucket seats and steering wheel is a Grant GT (bench is gone but original wheel comes with it.) Still has a great dash, door panels, etc. Small tears in seats, still very usable. Seats are both black but the vinyl patterns between the front and back do not match.
Manual steering, manual drum brakes, no air. I figured it was ready for a V8 so I have a 73-up K member and complete (apart) 8.75 rear (489 case) that come with it. A factory center console (without shift lever or linkage) and a power steering column and box are also part of the deal.
The scoops, 70-style wing, stripe kit, demon decals, 15" sbp ralley rims, (by Stockton Wheel) and chrome sport mirrors were added by the previous owner. His intention was to copy the Demon seen in all the literature and advertisements of the era. I've got a few advertisements and other miscellaneous that go with the car as well.
The car is in south Sacramento, CA. You can PM Jim and we'll swap phone#'s. If you are in the neighborhood, you can certainly come see it. Calls get priority because I work late in the evening and cannot check PMs as often as my phone.
Rust? What's that? On her worst day she might have some surface rust in the trunk. The quarters, rockers, and floors are solid.
