440 clearance issue

The motor fit fine into a 73 duster. However the new valve covers are too tall and hit on the blower motor for the heater. Any ideas other than going without heat? Anybody know of a low profile blower motor or something.
 
might have better luck putting this in the BB section.
there is a thread on bigblockdart, how to recess the blower motor, im not sure how it works on different years or ac cars but it seems possible on all of them. i did it on my 69, works great for valve cover clearance.
 
Sometimes the stock tin valve cover will give you enough clearance. They're not as tall as the finned aluminum ones.
 
My late buddy put a Long Ram 440 in his 70.
Of course, I believe that he moved the engine down and forward a bit.
Rear side of left intake cleared master cylinder by 1/8th inch.

Yes the lower valve covers work but we were hoping to use the mopar performance ones. Thanks Purple Haze. That might be the way to go. But I am gonne post in the BB section too just to see.
