Keisler 5-speed conversion on Early A-body: Install has begun
I'm starting with a 4-speed '64 Dart GT ( factory V8 ), so it should be little different. I've been looking at the Keisler kits on their website, but I can tell that I'll need more that what their "complete" kit includes. I would like to keep my Hurst 4-speed shifter, but it looks like the one they sell is much more complicated, with an additional bend in the handle. ??? I'll need to buy the actuator (hydraulic ) kit separately, and it looks like my clutch needs to be reused/replaced. Do I have to change the bellhousing? I will call for a quote, but any further input would be appreciated.
