Getting things sorted out so I can put dads 6.1 into his demon and need to know what oil pan will work with the alterktion. I have used a Charlies pan on a customers car and it fit great, but the price was INSANE! The cherokee pan is out of question, sits way too low. I have a milodon pan also that we were going to use on our customers car but it wouldn't fit. There was absolutely zero clearance between it and the rack and pinion. I have heard there is a "new" milodon pan that is supposed to work? Anyone know if this is true and also have a part# ? Thanks for any help in advance!

I hope you find out. I'm buying a 6.1 tomorrow and I will have the same problem as you soon.

try a ram pan. I hear they will work with alterkation and a 5.7. I'm pritty sure the 6.1 has the same bolt pattern. You would also need the ram oil pan gasket/ windage tray and the pickup tube.

Thanks for the replies guys. In the picture it looks like the truck pan sits just as low as the jeep pan unfortunately. I would prefer to keep the oil pan level with the trans pan or as close as possible. The car is going to be set low to the ground to achieve the look we are going for and I have a feeling that pan would almost be dragging on the ground. I have a call in to bill, I will see what he says and post back here.

I have a WeldTech pan.....fits good. Their pickup they supply is not the best though.

I went with a Canton pan, fit great, about the same price as a Milodon.

Maybe this is they direction we should go ^^^ Do you have any pics with it in the car? I would love to see them! I talked to bill and the only two suggestions he had were to use a charlies pan or a truck pan. Charlies is way out of the budget and the truck pan is just not attractive and hangs really low. I like the look of the sheet aluminum way more, and it can be polished to look even better.

I tried both a Charlie's and a Milodon, and they both hit the rack. The charlies was a big POS in my opinion. I might have a pic at home, I'll check.
Here is the Charlie's,

Wow, yeah it doesn't look like either one of those will work. It also looks like you have a manual steering rack too? If thats the case they most definetly wont work with a power rack. Thanks for the pics, looking forward to seeing the other one you installed.

Check this out. I just found this website that has rear sump oil pans for Alterkation for
$169.

The Jeep pan is on back order and not available. The dealer I talked to said there is not even a production date to determine when it would be produced. He thought it would be at least two months or more.
