No pedal after wheel cylinder work.
I was wondering if anybody had any clues as to why my brakes won't pump up.
The other day I noticed my front driver-side brake was sticking after stopping and wouldn't release until I got on the throttle a bit. I checked the adjustment and it seemed to be adjusted reasonably. So I took the wheel cylinder apart and found the seals were pretty wore out. I got a kit, honed the cylinder and replaced the hose as well. After putting everything back together I noticed I couldn't get the pedal to pump up.
I ALSO noticed that 3 out of 4 of my bleeder screws were broke off flush with the wheel cylinders :(. I'm going to order 4 new cylinders, but I'd like to get enough brakes to at least move the car from it's current location to the shop (About 300 ft across my yard.)
Will I need to bleed the master cylinder or something to restore some of the pedal or am I pretty much SOL until I get the new cylinders installed?
Sorry if this has been posted before. I'm currently browsing with my Wii which makes searching a royal pain in the neck.
Thanks for the help!
