Predictions?
Here are the runs for the night:
1st run:
60' = 1.775
330' = 5.251
1/8 ET = 8.228
1/8 MPH = 82.44
1000' = 10.889
1/4 ET = 13.513
1/4 MPH = 83.72
It fell on it's face laying into the throttle from idle, shifted at 5600 from first to third, and I got out of it at about the 1000' mark. It seemed to hook pretty well, the front end stayed high all the way down the track, which I wasn't used to and it threw me off a bit. Nothing broke, everything looked good, so it was on to the next pass after checking things over.
2nd run:
60' = 1.772
330' = 5.238
1/8 ET = 8.202
1/8 MPH = 82.68
1000' = 10.776
1/4 ET = 12.963
1/4 MPH = 102.66
Left the line off idle again with no problems this time, shifted at 5600 and didn't skip 2nd this time. It seemed to hook pretty good again.
3rd run:
60' = 1.721
330' = 5.178
1/8 ET = 8.133
1/8 MPH = 82.81
1000' = 10.702
1/4 ET = 12.882
1/4 MPH = 103.04
Last run of the night, so I changed it up launching at 2000 and shifting at 6000. It hooked fairly hard and pulled pretty good all the way to the shift light, so I think there's more there yet.
It definitely needs more tire, maybe a bit more gear, and some different front shocks to allow the front to settle down faster. I didn't do any tuning at all, didn't even touch the timing. I'm looking forward to getting a bit more track time. I think it might have a 12.5 or better in it yet. :thumrigh:
