Vf valiant heading to Dragweek
IT is certified to run 8.50s with the cage that is in the car. He did have to make some changes to comply with your rules over there.
I saw this post on Hot Rod Forums:
After thrashing for the last six months and taking the last three months off work, I have had to pull the pin on taking my totally rebuilt, procharged Dart/Valiant to Drag Week. The car is finished, I have run a bunch of road miles on it but with terrible weather in Sydney, Australia causing track closures at our drag strip we have been unable to run a single pass down the drag strip in the last month. It's a long way to go to bring a untested racer, especailly one with a serious motor and I want to thank my entire team for helping me build a bloody amazing car for the Street, Power-Adder class. The event looks like great fun, we had a heap of supporters following our efforts (You Tube: WAR440) and we wanted to be a part of it, sadly, it costs a bunch of money to get there and we dont want to come there with anything less than the best car.
While this year is out, we will definitely be there for next year. Good luck to all, especially local Aussie racer Steve Reiman, who is taking a local car that should run well in the Street Aspirated class. Some of you may remember his as the guy that hung the rods out of the blue Chevelle at O'Rielly's last year.
Cheers from Down Under....a lot of us will be watching!

Is this not the latest? Did he change his mind?
