I'm working on the same swap for my 72.. yours must turn some heads in the UK.

Nice, that's what I'm doin now. A 400 727 in a 71 Duster.
 
I have a good bit less cam than you (.465"/.488"), and suffering with some serious issues, (had to shift at 5,000 rpms), I ran a 12.80 @ 103 on my third pass. I doubt 12's with your combo should be a problem.
 
how do you like those pistons? whats your opp on that proform carb?any good?
i have the same set up except im runnin the torker 383 manifold and still undecided on a carb...
