73' B3 340 Duster pro touring build
It was a productive day yesterday for the Duster. First, picked up the fenders from Stripmasters in Rootstown, Ohio. Second, My suspension parts showed up. these things are overkill but I like it that way, and third got the old shock crossmember removed without to much damage to the floor (a couple spot weld holes to fix). This also will give me about 2.750" more room for the coilovers...looks like its definatley fuel cell time !!!! Also included a pic of the tool I made to accuratley measure the rear axle width, simple to use... just bolt it to your wheels and adjust, lock it down, remove and measure....mine came out to 49.5", now minus rotor thickness & axle offset. I should be about a 44" housing but I will contact the axle manufacture to get the exact axle offset measurement before cutting. I also made some brackets to weld (temporarily)the axle at ride height to the car while I mock up the suspension this way I can rotate the car and not have the axle move around. (pics to follow on that one)
