Another back surgery

Hello Rob :hello2: It has been a while  now that I think about it.
Prayers going out for you and the doctors to do the work that is needed :thumleft:
and last's a long long time :color:

Thanks Mike, hope all is well with you and the family, and Buddy of course :D

Hi Rob,my discs are all herniated in my lower back(lumbar area)from doing frontend alignments in an auto plant for 17 years, working 10-12 hr shifts.I finally changed jobs after advise from my doctor. The meds just mask the pain so I can manage.I tried not taking them, but was basically useless. My bad discs all buldge in the front,so bending over then standing straight up is a task(look hunched over like an old man)I,m gonna ask my doc to send me to a speacialist for help. The Comp doc that assest me is the one that told me my back is rotten(DDD)and that I couldn,t have surgery.Said I was lucky to be working?I will seek a second opinion.Good luck.

Definitely get a 2nd opinion, and from a neuro surgeon at that. I have no idea why they don't think you can have surgery? One of my wife's friends had six veretebrae fused 30 or so years ago and has been fine ever since so even in your tough spot you would like to think there's hope. I wish you luck

I had a discectomy in 2004 thought it was the biggest mistake I'd ever made. After 12 weeks of Physical Therapy at Travis Sports Medicine here in town. I was fine and back on the Soda Truck. After three months of work (the last one running two routes) I was hurt again. They gave something called nerve block injections on L4 and L5 and I've been back on the Truck ever since! Dr. Pepper Rules!

I've had a buch of those with very limited luck, worked a little bit a couple times but wore off within a week or two. I have heard stories like yours though where there was great relief and long lasting
