1966 Valiant Signet Convertible Resto

Well I have good and bad news. The good news is I got to work on the body myself to make sure it turns out the way I want it. I scrapped all the seam sealer from the all joints in the car and cleaned the entire floor. I also removed the dash and prepped it. The doors, convertible top and gas tank were also removed. I really wanted the engine bay to be smooth (I'm not a big fan of the factory drips) so that took up quite a bit of time. He also felt better that he removed the doors to get every nook and cranny possible. So the bad news is my painter did not shot any base coat. I'm really happy I was there for some of the final body work stages so there is no mis-communication :sign6: and I get what I want. Plus I got to contribute more to lighting a fire under the *** of my painter. LOL. I've got lots of love for this guy it was a fun day.

Here are a few shots and a teaser of the paint. We tried to spray a small part but it flashed too quickly. Was pretty warm out today.

Me being obsessive/compulsive about getting the doors off and cleaning the jams up myself. I'm a perfectionist but I hope I can accept some flaws. They are inevitable unfortunately.

My bitter Ferd Face after noticing the Ferd banner above the shop door :sleepy3:

And the final teaser. Some paint left on the the paint cup after trying to paint a small piece that didn't turn out so well. This paint looks awesome. I can't wait to see it on a body panel or the hood even. :headbang:

Hope to have more pictures up soon as they come in. :salute:
