1973 Duster

Ok so it has been Africa hot here for weeks now, but I had to do something to feel like I am making progress so; I got my new brakes and put them all together although my K-member is out of the car. But I had to make sure they fit on the rims that I have. (Boy it would have really stunk if they didn't since already paid for them) but as you can see big rotors and they have plenty of clearance, clarence.

Next I fought the heat and since I got my spare hood hinges and the new struts came in I figured what the heck lets see if I can make it work.

So with my new 12 inch fully extended and 8 inch compressed 120lbs struts from Lift Support Depot I though I would try it out, and guess what it holds in all positions and no longer makes that horrible spring noise. And best of all the fender clears the mount.

Now these are just the test hinges so don't think I am going to use these rusty things. So if someone needs them after I have setup my original one's let me know, minus the struts and mounts of course.
