what is the best carb for my /6?

i have a clifford four barrel intake manifold and clifford headers with dual exhaust. i put on the 390 cmf holley carburetor today seems to be working well. i don't know exaclty how to hookup the transmission linkage though. feel kind of stupid but can you guys walk me through connecting it? thanks.
