Introduction
Hello all,
Well first You've to forgive me for this intro without the 'right' mopar photo's.... yes I know it's a shame.
I'm new to the Mopar World and even just know where Mopar actually stands for... well enough said... and maybe even too much. :yawinkle:
How I ended up here:
Well I had some projects in the past; owned a replica Cobra with a F*rd 460 and sold it.
After that I build a motorcycle which actual won the price best custom of 2008. It was a racer with genuine MotoGP parts. I learned a lot and it was a great journey!
Unfortunately the bike was stolen two years ago and I was really sick, cause it was just an awesome bike which took 1,5 years to build. And didn't wanted to do anything anymore....
So I literally ended up like this photo, which they made for a commercial:
Then a friend bought an Oldsmobile and I helped him just a little bit... not too much cause my knowledge is very limited. It was finished just a couple of months ago and now looks like this:
So I got a bit of the virus and started reading and now I'm in the middle of a buying process! It is taking a while cause the owner has to fix an axle before I can test drive it. Also I'm not in a hurry but am excited! The nice thing about this car is the nice interior that still looks great.
But what to do with the car when I get it. Well first let me tell you the model of car I'm talking about; a nice Valiant four door from 1968 with a Slant Six.
First I'll probably drive it a while just so to get more info and to get more familiar with all the possibilities on how to fill all my wished. I already know what my wishes are but I'm not familiar with all the products available.
My plan so far: keep the outside as original as possible and give it an unfinished look. But with a nice V8 and overall upgrades (disc brakes, rear axle, cage etc). I do want it to be a car which is reliable and can be driven often and doesn't have to see a drag-strip.
So I hope to learn a lot from this forum and will make sure I'll make a lot of photo's from this project! :-)
Off-course I already made some photo's with my phone which I can share... not the best quality, but I'll promise there will be more with better quality. :yawinkle:
Thx, for looking and hope to get to know you all!
