it is 7/8 of an ince as the specs on the fan ask for,,, it is NOT a flex fan,,, has been there for 12 years,, the rad i had recored to a 4 row and pushed the brackets forward so the rad moved toward the grille about 1/2 inch or so,,, i dont like to rely on electric stuff , when mechanical is available
