My 1970 Dart Swinger

Havent worked on the Dart for about 2 months since it was Destruction derby Season and I was building two derby cars for the County Fair derby. Smashed up a 71 Fury and an 89 Crown Vic last week and won some money and now its time to get back into building something that I can get more than 20 minutes of fun out of.

Here are pics of the trunk.

The engine back together a/c back on and new hoses and belts.

Not shure if the headlight bezels should be painted black but I think it looks cool anyway.

Did the door arm rests and dash frame in SEM Hotrod Black.

Also replaced the dash pad with one that was in great shape that I got for $20 from the local wrecking yard. I had recovered my cracked oraginal but it kept warping in the sun when we were block sanding. I was gonna sell the one I got at the yard but I dyed it black and replaces the capped one instead. It gets too hot in the summer here to mess with the expansion problems of a cap.

Also my drivers side door striker was a wreck, somebody had tried to fix it before I owned the car. I rebuilt the hinges, man those Doorman pin kits are hard to find but Pep Boys did cary them in stock. Used the striker pin and washers from the 71 Fury that I demo'ed last week. Welded it up, grinded filled and primed and its ready for paint.
