msd no fire need help

what was the final cause? I had a similar problem with my motor, 318 MSD 6T and coil, I replaced the dizzy with a new one re-curved and set up by reputable dealer, car would spark once then nothing, tracked it down to the pickup inside the dizzy, the gap was was like .022 instead of .008. re=adjusted that and it started right up.
