Then some Holley if you don't like a TQ or Edy . They are also easy to rebuild with lots o parts available .
Used a few Theromoquads and never had the plastic warp , and the secondaries not opening on the edy , well something was not set up properly .
Any of the mentioned carbs set up properly are good choices , they all work well , each one has their strong and weak points . You have to decide which you can live with .
As for intakes have used a Holley performer on a 318 that worked well , ld -340 that was very good and now have Edy Air Gap . Air gap has no choke so there is that , though I have never had a problem starting car without a choke . Think the Air-gap is the one to get these days , but if money is tight any alu dual plane would do for the street .
