Strut Rods - go aftermarket?
Hello all,
I've noticed this year that my front end likes to wander on roads with ruts (dips in the road from having traffic on them for so long)...which are very common here in Metro Detroit. The car's tires basically grab them and its nearly impossible to keep the car straight (the wheel fights you as well). So, doing some investigating, I notice that my strut rod bushings are not looking so good. I rebuilt the front end on this car about 9 years and 7k miles ago with a rubber front end kit...the car also wiggles a bit on braking...I can see the play in the bushings during a bounce. On a smooth road, the handling and steering seem fine.
So, since these are worn out, and it seems like I am getting some serious suspension angle change under dive, and that the lower control arm probably isn't being located as well as it should, the idea came up to maybe go with an aftermarket one like the Hotchkis version

These are kind of spendy...was wondering if anyone thinks these are worth it or not?
