I GOT A TICKET/NOTICE for my car thats in the driveway.

Another prime example of Gestapo in America. While I do agree that people should keep up their property to some standard out of respect to their neighbors, you should still have some right to do what you want.

If you choose to move into an area such as an HOA then you should know the rules before moving in.

I had the township ordinance officer come to a piece of property that I own adjacent to my home, it is zoned C1 which allows me to to do a little more than a residential lot. He called and left a message on my home phone stating this, that and the other. Keep in mind the property is fenced, gated and no trespassing signs posted all around the perimeter. He said in his message that he had a complaint and came by to see what was going on, he opened the gate and allowed himself onto the property to inspect it. He found nothing really wrong with what is there but still complained for the complainant. Upon hearing the message I promptly went to the township office and proceeded to give him a piece of my mind. First off he trespassed, he should have asked me to meet with him. I told him and the township supervisor that if it happened again I would call the Sheriff and have him arrested for trespassing, secondly I told him I would take out a trespassing warrant against him and if he did it again he would go directly to jail.

Neither one of them argued with me as they knew I was in the right, and I have had no problems since. When he comes around now he is polite and asks if I would walk him through the yard to see what is going on, which I do.

Hell of it is he is a retired Deputy Sheriff.
