Hoosier Slicks And Rim Width

im confused... you buy a tires that has a given section width (what rim they use i dont know) and by using the min rim width it will be wider than there section width?

wouldn't a narrower rim suck the sidewalls in?

first set of slicks so this is a new learning curve...

also was planning on screwing the bead in... slants seem to like 10-14psi tire pressure

You are correct, but I am refering to the tread width. Section is wider than the tread and would be even more so with 10" rims because they tend to use a rim less than the tread width. I just don't know exactly what width rim is used to establish the section with measurement.
