Hoosier Slicks And Rim Width

You are correct, but I am refering to the tread width. Section is wider than the tread and would be even more so with 10" rims because they tend to use a rim less than the tread width. I just don't know exactly what width rim is used to establish the section with measurement.

not to worried about read width... LOL and 8" slick for a 6 should be fine... the 4.88's will test them for sure though!

Hoosier's website says the measuring rim for that tire was 8" wide.

Are you looking to put these on a Dart? Let me know how it turns out.

I put a 27*10.5 Quick Time Pro (section width 10.1 as per Hoosier) on my dart with 15*8 wheels with 5.5 backspace, 3/8 spacer, monoleaf springs and rolled fenderlips. I rubbed the letters off of the backside of the tires on the inside, and couldn't get my fingers between the sidewall and rolled lip on the outside. My springs have the car sitting 1.5" higher than stock as per Calvert.

I've got B-Body 10" drums on the back of my car.

I would love to fit that tire on my car, but I don't see where I could get an extra inch without spring relocation.

did you mean 4.5 BS not 5.5?? and worst case scenario i'll just do the SS cutouts...
