best machine shop/porter for 340 j heads

I've thought about this..........what about:

A 340 stroker...........still keep it around a 1.55 rod ratio (or above)..........maybe just an offset grind. I haven't done the math but something like a 360 - 368 ci motor.

Single plane................send intake w/ heads to be worked

750 cfm carb and electric fuel pump.............

Goto electronic ign if not already done.........

Electric fan....

lastly...........suspension suspension suspension..............we'll need 1.4X's as I said before.............

You may want to consider fiberglass hood, bumpers, and anything to shave weight................

As for the gear thing..............we'll have to figure some math out considering your tire size, 833 gearing, and 1/4 times and we can figure for your final drive to RPM.

I think this thread is MORE about your combo more so than about a head-shop.................you might want to kill this thread and re-open it over in the racer's section and just spill the beans about what you have and the time you'd like to run...................

Let those that have years of experience talk openly about how to get there........

As for the 426 stroker...................I'm not a big fan of huge strokers and bad rod angles....................its just an oppinion however.
