Hello Denny,

LOL!!! Next time PM me!!!!!

I really need to read these threads a little closer. Sorry, the last few weeks I have been busy elsewhere. (Mopar Nats, Moparfest, US Nationals, etc.) I have been resoponding to my PM's for parts for sale or wanted.

I have a '68 Cuda 25.5 spec car (Twisted Fish) that I play with once in a while. I had a thread on the build last year or so but got lazy with the final updates. I run a 437 in. "stock" Race Hemi /727 when we run SS events but we have a 655 in. all aluminum Race Hemi /TH400 in it now. Funding is tight so we run a limited number of events. This year I was out once for A NSS event and my competitiors took exception to my ET's vs. the NSS classification. Seems they didn't like an elephant running (taking over) the show. Go figure.

In between the two Cudas I have my son's 73 Duster 440 super pro car we are putting together.

Anyway back to the original questions/answers:

I bought the '69 Cuda from KillerB (Long Island) last May. It was in good shape rust wise. Perfect for what I wanted anyway. The price was OK.

The plan was to build a streetable "street car" that my wife could drive or race.

I replaced all the body panels with the exception of the roof. The quarters are steel aftermarket pieces, the doors are acid dipped original pieces (gutted), the decklid and bumpers are from AAR, and the front end glass panels are from Sled City fiberglass. The entire body has been block sanded and primed in a urethane high build primer. The underside was just pressure washed. and will get a coat of chassis black.

The floor pan was perfect so I left it virtually untouched except for mini-tubbing.

The front suspension is Alterkation with a rack.

I'm talking to DTS and Strange about a Dana 60 right now. Whoever comes up with the best price will build it.

Brakes are Force 10 by SSBC.

I'm currently mini-tubbing the rear wheel wells(tubs are done), relocating springs perches, welding in frame connectors and torque boxes. I should be done by the end of this week.

The right shock tower is next for cutting and rework . The blower motor has been removed and an aluminum plate made to cover the hole. I bought a master cylinder relocation kit from Mancini as well as a poly carbonate (plastic) master cylinder.

Stock gas tank with added sump, aeromotive pump and filter, SS braided lines. Brake lines still need to be run.

My engine builder and long time friend had a brand new 604 in. all aluminum Hemi that he built for a NSS racer. (World Block and Stage 5 heads) It was detuned (compression/cam) to run pump gas. I'm still running the Hogan Cross Ram and 2 Quick Fuel 750 cfm carbs but I may have to switch for a shorter cross ram such as the Mopar Parts version. Dyno testing will tell us where we need to go.

My transmission builder and long time friend has a full manual 727 he's putting together for me. We are discussing the converter this week.

The interior will have Recarro (Viper ACR) seats, SCS shifter, full SS (light weight) Kramers carpet, 10 point roll bar, tach and oil pressure with the stock gages. I have an old friend who works for Recarro (Johnson Controls) , thus the seat choice. I've been told by the boss I have to run a back seat so that is under redesign now.

Once I get everything together I'll blow it apart and paint the body which should be mid October. Over the winter I will fully assemble the car. It should be out on the road by April /'12

I tried to upload pictures when I started the build but they wouldn't take so I said to heck with it. (not in those exact words) I didn't have any problems last year, has the procedure changed?

Let me know and I'll post some pictures.
