What exhaust with.....

I just purchased a 67 cuda formula s with original 273 HP/4 spd. It currently has a single tail pipe on the drivers side and the original owner swears it did not have dual pipes. How can I verify if this is correct or been changed through the years? I would think with that power train combo it came with dual exhaust? Thx
