2--3 hours for me.

Where to stay thou ? Checked trip advisor doesn't seem like many hotels/motels to pick from and best western wants over $100 for one night, ouch.

Too cold at night to sleep in car, lol

hmm, hotwire has a 2 star for $69 (total price)on Saturday night in Norwalk. Maybe I go, could leave bright and early Sat and be at the track all day--is it worth going?

Toledo is about an hour east of it, Hotwire is showing more hotels for that city and there is lots of clubs in that town. The weather looks great for Sat, I'm really thinking of going. In need of a trip and its close by.

Going on saturday.3 hours for me as wel l!!

Ugh I live in Novi and was hoping I do it in 2 1/2 but yeah those Ohio troopers can be pretty sneaky. Best not to speed, even near the border Mich troopers can be all over the place.

Looks like the action starts around 9 am--gates open at 8 am. Going to be a long day but full of action. Toledo looks pretty cool for nightlife, never check the out, looks promising

My 340 is staying home, car isn't ready for a long road trip. Forgot all about this but since the weather looks soooo nice this Sat thought why not, besides not sure how safe Toledo is at night.

Me and a few MMM Members from Michigan will be heading out Saturday morning as well, we will not be taking the car but will show up for the events, Hope to meet a few member from here as well.

Richard

The speed limit is 70 on the Ohio Turnpike if that is route you are taking!

It is yet on I-75 heading towards Flint I go 80 plus, lol

Never had a problem yet over there. One time a local cop on the side road next to the freeway flash his overhead lights at me while I was going 85, I look and laugh and sped up a bit after I passed in case he called it in. It was miles from the nearest entrance ramp

Its a different world over there. That is the thing, gotta keep in mind where your at and what time of day. Some places you are best going a bit under the limit. I drive with no radar detectors, just my eyes and common sense.

I believe the speed limit drops to 60 mph on I-75 at the Ohio border, then its 280 to 80, then after the toll booth its 70 mph again--not sure what 280 limit is.

Should still be a smooth nice ride--hopefully no yellow barrels will be around, lol Work zones stink, always somebody has to go 45 and not a tad faster

I won't be able to make it until Sunday. I live about 20 miles away and actually work in Norwalk. I couldn't get off this weekend and actually drove by the track around 830pm in work truck.

Look at Avery Ohio it has a few hotels right off the turnpike on US 250. Sandusky has quite a few hotels because of Cedar Point. In Clyde, OH where I'm from about 22 miles away there is Red Roof Inn which probably be priced decently but there is one in Avery which is a bit closer. Really there are a bunch of places to stay not far from Norwalk.

Anyone sees a hood for a 69 Barracuda or 73-76 Dart let me know I'm in dire need of one and hope to find one on Sunday that isn't outrageous.

Forgot to add if you are on route 20 and come to a town called Monroeville, OH drive slow major speed trap and there is also a State trooper outpost in Norwalk, OH. Also, Huron county sheriffs but they don't mess with you as much.

Wow what a great day for Drag Racing, the weaher was great the turn out of kinda on the low side. When we got there we watched a few races and walked through the pits from one end to the other. Buy the time we made it back to the starting line and watched a few more races most of the car shows guys were gone, oh well we went to see the racing not more car shows cars. We see enough of them here in Michigan.

I sure would like to see this place when maybe a big shows comes like an NHRA Show.

It was great.
