Anyone Ever Had a Car Sold Out From Under You?

earlier this year, I was looking at a nice yellow '71 340 Duster (very nice shape, sharktooth grille, built 340, etc.). I called the guy and he said someone was coming to look at it the next day (he'd had 26 calls, but was being very selective over who he'd sell his baby to). After we talked Dusters for a while, he said I could look at it it if the first guy didn't buy it.
Well, he did.

Not really sold out from under me (you snooze, you lose) but it felt the same.
