Not unless you broke the crank. If I understand what you wrote you are meaning you broke a main bearing cap. Is that correct? If so the cap goes with the block. When the block is bare the machine shop bolts all the main caps on and torques them down then align hones it as an assy. If you use a main cap off another engine you need to totally disassemble the engine and take it to a machine shop and have it align honed with the new cap or it won't be straight and will trash the bearings and crank pretty quick.
