Tach Mount Fabrication

Another thing you can do, if you want the tach on top of the dash, is mount
the stock bracket, with 3-M double sided trim tape. Mines been on top for 3 years now, and it holds steady. Then you're not drilling holes in your dash, or pad, and it can be removed real easy, the tape residue is not hard to get off.
